One of our favorite things to do while in Nice is eat all the delicious food! Due to the proximity between Nice and Italy (it’s around 25 miles to the Italian border) there is a large Italian influence to the food as well as the Niçois traditional food. We aren’t fancy eaters, we just like good food prepared well with a lovely ambiance.

Restaurants we recommend:
- Comptoir du Marché – Michelin Star restaurant very close to our apartment, cozy and inviting, need reservations! https://www.comptoirdumarche.fr/en
- Bar des Oiseaux- also on our same block, another unassuming Michelin star restaurant that’s sure to delight. https://guide.michelin.com/us/en/provence-alpes-cote-dazur/nice/restaurant/bar-des-oiseaux
- L’Ecurie- a warm and inviting little spot, also in the heart of Vieux Nice, offering wood-fired pizza and Niçoise specialties.https://restaurant-lecurie-nice.fr/
- Brasserie Bozzi- good service and serving perhaps the best Croque Madame I’ve ever had. Great terrace for people-watching. https://www.bozzinice.com/en
- Carmela- amazing Italian food tucked onto the tail end of the Cours Saleya, the ambiance is 100% https://www.carmela-restaurant.com/en/index
- La Favola- Italian also on Cours Saleya and owned by the same family as Carmela, it always has a line, that’s how you know it’s good. https://www.la-favola.com/en
- Indian Lounge- As you might imagine, Indian cuisine in Old Town with the most magical outdoor booths. https://indianlounge-nice.com/
- Lou Pastrouil- great breakfast spot or a place for an afternoon apéro! Casual and built for people-watching.https://loupastrouil.fr/en/services
